My article is going to be about an indie artist called Beth Mann who is releasing her debut album "Return of the Fonz"
The article is a kind of question and answer type article, we will be asking about how she produced it where and when, and how she enjoyed it and other kinds of questions to do with her making the album. Also we are going to have a bit of information about the band like how she got where she is today and what the journey has been like along the way.
The type of language i will use is going to be like slang kind of words that teenagers and rock fans would use, this is so they can relate to what i am going to say in the magazine and so they feel closer to what is being said. Words and phrases like "exclusive" this will appeal to the audience as they are getting exclusive interviews, which makes them feel closer to the artist. Also using words like "cool" and "rock" and things like that relate to the younger generation and to the rock based audience.
There will be words that relate to the music industry as it is a question and answer style article which will contain exclusive information about how the artist got where they are today through producing and getting noticed, there will also be questions about gigs and other things.
There will be a round about 500 words in my Question and Answer style article, i have looked at a question and answer article from "kerrang" and it contains 534 words, but it looked a little bit too much and some of the questions had long answers so i have cut it down also to make it more interesting for the reader so they aren't having to read for a long time till the next question. I am also thinking about making my first question a bit longer to get the reader straight into the artists life. There is an average of about 30 words in each question in the "kerrang" article, i am going to use less words that that but i am going to ask more questions so it will still add up to the same amount of words overall. In the "kerrang" article there is an average of 20 words per line on the question, i will try to cut mine down a little bit to around 15-18 so that its a little less dragged out. But i will have a bigger answer than the question itself
My article title will say "New album from indie superstar Beth Mann". This will make my article title stand out and grab attention as it will be in a big sized bold font, also it stand out and grabs attention because it says "new album" which will always get the audience looking because its something new and they want to know about it. Also it says "Indie superstar" this will appeal to the audience i am trying to reach because it seems like people have heard of her and she is popular which will make more people want to know about her. I am not going to use a play on words as i think as it is kind of an interview situation it needs to seem a bit more professional.
Beth mann is an indie superstar, she has been in professional music for about 5 years now and now she is releasing her debut album "Return of the Fonz". Making the album has taken her a while but the final product is amazing, with a mix of heavier songs and some slow paced songs no wonder it has taken a while for this masterpiece. You may ask where she will go next? well we have an idea of what is to come. She will be appearing in this years leeds festival to show off her new album and there have already been talks of making a new exclusive song for leeds, so if you were thinking of not going there, think again!
The content in my article will be something that must be read, and eveyone will want to read it. I will achieve this by using the question and answer style article, this will be effective as it is letting the reader feel closer to the actual artist rather that someone telling them about them. it will not onl be interesting becaus of the style of ythe article but also because i am going to have exclusive news on how the artist has achieved what she has, and how she has produced the music and got herself noticed. all of these things are very exclusive topics which will make the audience very interested in it. Also the content will be fun, there will be jokes in the qestion and answer which will show that its not a serious interveiwing, it can actually be fun.
To make my reader want to read on, i will use the words "exclusive" and"new" and things along that line to keep them interested in reading more, this because they will want to know whats new and exclusive and think that they will find out if they keep reading. I will make sure all my content that goes into my article is varied, i will put some serious questions in there and once the reader thinks like they are getting bored, i will put a joke or two in to lighten the mood and they will want to keep reading through. I will also use pictures to draw the readers attention and this will make them want to read on to find out what the picture is trying to tell us or what the picture means.
The ending to my article will be a short paragraph about what is gong to happen to the band in the near fuure, maybe it will have a cliffhanger wich will make the reader want to research into the band and want to know more about them. It will also include how they got to where they ae today, and all the information on what the new CD is going to be like. There could also be a final question which will reveal a secret or something that has been rumoured to be true but not yet found out properly, this will build suspence which again will make the reader want to know more and more.
As the extra text on the page i will have the bands website and their tour dates and prices and merchandise at the bottom of the page.
